A Gilroy shop since 2004.
Uvas Auto Works is an independent auto repair shop on the west side of Gilroy, named for the creek and the vineyard road nearby. Three bays, two technicians and a service writer, working the same way since the doors first opened.

Fifteen years on a dealership line, then our own doors.
The shop was opened in 2004 by a technician who had spent fifteen years at a dealership in San Jose and wanted to do the work the way he would want it done on his own car: inspect it, explain it, write it down, and only then start.
Most of the cars that come in are commuters with 25,000 miles a year on Highway 101, family cars, and the pickups that work the ranches and vineyards around town. Many of them have been coming for more than a decade.
The same steps on every job.
Parts and labor, line by line, signed by you before any work begins.
If we find more, we call first. Your answer, the time and the number we called go on the order.
The worn part, the leak or the reading, sent to your phone while the car is on the lift.
Ask when you drop off the car and the replaced parts go home with you.
Every visit is on file, so the next technician knows what was done and when.
Registered with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair as an Automotive Repair Dealer, ARD #000000.
Tools that match the work.
Two lifts and a four-post alignment lift, scan tools that read most makes sold in the United States, A/C machines for both the older and the newer refrigerant, and a battery tester for hybrids.
Parts come from suppliers in San Jose and Salinas, most of them the same day, so a car that comes in early is usually finished by the evening.

Bring it by, or tell us first.
